It Hurts To See Your EX Happy??? Put Your EX In The “EX BOX”

After a while of not seeing your ex, you finally can say “I’m over him! I’m ready to move on.” Then by unfortunate chance you bump into him/her happily with someone else. You then find yourself awkwardly faking a smile as you realize that you were so wrong. And as you cry in the comfort room you wonder why it hurts to see him happy.

Was it me?

All the time you spent crying and mending your broken heart seem to have been wasted as all the pain poured back in with you seeing your ex happy with someone else. It may mean you still love him. Or it t may simply mean that your pride has been hurt or you simply just hate seeing him/her happy. You wonder why he/she couldn’t be that happy with you. You begin to think that it may have been your fault. Don’t blame yourself for the failure of your relationship. It happens to many people. It takes two people to make a relationship work. It’s not just one person’s fault.

It’s Not Fair

It is possible that you have not gotten over him/her and what you are feeling is jealousy. Still there is a chance
that it could be envy (lol). You find it unfair that he/she has gotten over you and has found some new love before you did. Well, all is fair in love and war. He/she has the right to go out with anyone he/she wants to now that he/she is free. And maybe it’s about time you went out with someone else too.

I want to be Happy too

The sight of him/her being happy while you feel miserable is painful. Stop torturing yourself about the love you lost and open your doors to the world. Admit to yourself that you want to be happy too. Love hurts, plain and simple. But the pain that you experience makes you a stronger person. You become wiser as you move on to your next relationship.

Hope is lost

If you have not gotten over the break up, seeing your ex with someone else crushes your hope of reconciliation. All this time of not seeing him/her made you think that it might just be a phase in your relationship. And one day he/she will realize that he/she misses you and come running home. But then the opposite happens and it breaks your heart all over again. Maybe it is healthy for him/her to see other people. Who knows? It may make him/her realize the things he/she likes about you and go back. But you have to go out and meet other people too. It may just make you see that he/she is not the only fish in the sea. And just maybe you meet the one that is really meant for you.

Letting Go

Lastly, it may hurt at first but look again. If you really love the man, you would want him to be happy, even if it means you are out of the picture. Seeing him happy with someone else can be the beginning of your letting go and moving on without him.
